In Compression, Lynda Schlosberg explores the perception that a never-ending stream of energy connects and permeates all things, out of which infinite possibilities can be realized. Her paintings begin a semi-systematic investigation of what happens when she combines a fixed set of forms and marks in varied, yet limited ways. While each piece is unique unto itself, numerous qualities may be gleaned from each work's uniformity—or individuality—as they relate to the collective whole.
