Exhibition Statement

Art itself is a means of renewal: creating it, viewing it, and appreciating its wordless transformative quality. This December Kingston’s mission is to renew our connection to art and to celebrate community after years marked by pandemic and ongoing conflict. In a month-long holiday show to benefit the Boston Medical Center’s Immigrant and Refugee Health Center, Kingston Gallery artists are coming together to “Celebrate Renewal”. The show will feature works in all mediums by member artists. As a “cash and carry” show, members of the public, as well as art collectors, can purchase art from contemporary regional artists to give as gifts during the holiday season. New pieces will replace those sold off the walls, enabling us to showcase new work throughout the run of the show. Kingston will also feature events in the gallery to celebrate the renewal of the season, give patrons a chance to learn more about the mission of the Immigrant and Refugee Health Center, and find moments of respite in music performed by professional musicians in a gallery setting.
