Jennifer Liston Munson’s object-like paintings recall stone surfaces of ancient walls, urban ruins of Cuba, , Modernist architecture, and hewn surfaces of art objects she has encountered over time. Layers of paint are sanded back to reveal color from her past, charting the memory of place that is embeded through her experience of the contemporary world.
